We were approached to provide a modular solution for a high-specification railway station being built in Melbourne CBD that was specified to be built using a "Plug and Play" system.

Our task was to design a custom lighting and power solution for the project, providing modular products to all light fittings on circuits using 2.5mm and 4mm Low Smoke Zero Halogen cable that could also be used for a 10mm fire-rated cable.

We modified our tooling to allow for LSZH cable and put preliminary solutions in place, utilizing our Plug bases with areas of the project moving also utilizing our Low Smoke Zero soft-wired backbone leads. We designed and manufactured specialized mounting brackets. We supplied over 4500 lighting luminaire leads, 4500 T20 Plug bases, and 60km of Low Smoke Zero Halogen cable for the project.

Our custom solution resulted in significant labor savings on site as minimal onsite work was required with the Low Smoke Zero Halogen cable. The wear and tear of onsite tooling was also reduced significantly. We were able to streamline the supply chain, providing a turn-key solution for the project.
